Originally from Des Moines, Iowa in the American heartland, Nicole studied international relations in college and wanted to choose a career path that would enable her to see new places and different cultures while at the same time having a job I truly enjoy. With no background in teaching, she decided to earn her TEFL certification and head to Zhengzhou, China to teach English to grade-schoolers.
