Having to pay only $8 for my overnight emergency room visit in New Delhi India. Especially in light of the fact that I would have spent more on postage from India trying to get my travel insurance to reimburse me for it. The cherry on top was the lovely hospital staff that took care of me when I was really down with a traveler’s illness and so far from home. Thank you India. I couldn’t have asked for better treatment as a foreigner, so this took a bad experience and made it a quite positive one.
Even if you get overseas and decide it isn’t for you, you will never have regrets about the experience. It will always be one of your most interesting life experiences, no matter if what transpires is fantastic or less than that.
