#1 Online TEFL Course 5 years in a row
I have been teaching the Online TEFL Certification Course since June of 2020.
Ph.D. University of New Mexico;
International Development Certificate from the Institute of International Development, Monterrey Institute, California
Extensive ESL/EFL teaching experience at American universities in New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona
I’ve taught in the Education/EFL departments of the National Pedagogical University, Mexico City, Mexico, and at the National Pedagogical University, Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
I have also taught ESL students in public schools across the United States.
I have extensive online EFL teaching experiences, having taught students from across the globe including China, South Korea, Central, and South America.
Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala.
The first time I traveled to Honduras, I was struck by the warmth and acceptance of everyone; I was quickly brought into the fold of a community of people eager to learn about me and from me! It was a truly humbling experience. Setting up an EFL program in Honduras for a community where children and adults walked from two hours away to take English classes was truly an experience I’ll never forget.
Making connections is a very important aspect of teaching abroad, whether you have connections to a culture before you go abroad or whether you make them once you arrive in a new country. Take time to get to know the culture; find out where local people go, what they do, how they think, and what they value. It will be a truly transformational experience and help you to understand others better.
