Are you already TEFL certified?

If you hold an internationally accredited TEFL certification which is at least 120 hours through one of our approved TEFL providers, you will qualify for our TEFL Jobs Programs in Vietnam. Cultural Orientation

To help you get the most out of your experience in Vietnam, both in and out of the classroom, we provide 40 hours of online learning on Vietnamese culture, society, history, politics, and language. In addition, your orientation in Vietnam includes a variety of cultural activities & excursions. This is completed over 5 days in Ho Minh City after which you will start your job placement!

Cultural Excursions & Activities Include:

• Cultural Workshops: Engage in workshops that introduce you to Vietnam's history, customs, traditions, and etiquette. Learn about local festivals, practices, and social norms to better understand and respect the local culture.
• Language Training: Acquire basic language skills to help you communicate with locals and enhance your classroom experience. Learning some local phrases can create rapport and ease interactions.
• Classroom Techniques: Receive training on effective teaching methods tailored to the Vietnam context. Learn strategies for engaging students, managing diverse classrooms, and adapting to different learning styles.
• Teaching Practicum: Gain preparation and confidence through practice teaching Vietnam students in a controlled setting with support and feedback from experienced English teachers.
• Cultural Excursions: Participate in guided visits to historical sites, markets, and local communities to immerse yourself in the daily life and traditions of Vietnam.
• Safety and Logistics: Receive information on safety protocols, transportation, and emergency contacts to ensure you're well-prepared for any situation.
• Support Network: Meet fellow program participants, mentors, and coordinators who will be your support network throughout your teaching journey.
