Organization Overview: The International Ministry, sponsored by Forest Hills Baptist Church, has been offering free ESL classes to the University Park neighborhood near N.C. State University since 1978. Beginning in March 2020, we expanded to Zoom and in 2021, we created hybrid classrooms where online students learn alongside students in-person for synchronous classes. Students are all immigrants to the United States and reside within Chelan and Douglas counties in Washington state. They are anywhere from true beginners to low advanced students. It is a non-profit educational organization with the goal of enriching cultural and educational programs in Changhua County (central Taiwan) and nearby areas.
