ITA Alumni Teaching English Abroad
Teaches English in Spain
I found other TEFL certifications that were cheaper but I still chose ITA because of their reputation and resources. One of my favorite things about ITA is that you have an assigned advisor. Changing careers and moving abroad was such a foreign concept for me... I had so many questions, I didn't know where to start. I scheduled multiple calls with my advisor and they answered all my questions - not just about the TEFL certification, but about the entire process of moving abroad. The support was worth spending the extra money and now I'm living my dream in Madrid!
Taught English in South Korea
I loved the Chicago TEFL course! I think my favorite aspect was the fact that we were able to instruct adults at various English levels to prepare us for what was to come. I work 24 hours per week and make $2,200 USD a month plus free housing. I've found it easy to save $700-1,000 each month. I have two weeks of vacation each year in addition to all of the Korean national holidays, which is an additional 20 days - Koreans love to celebrate!
Teaches English in France
When I decided to retire from the corporate world, I started thinking about how I could continue working part-time while doing something I was passionate about. After doing some research and speaking with several ESL training certification schools, I signed up with ITA. I was attracted to their strong curriculum, experienced teachers, and a good level of interaction between the teacher and students. The TEFL course was more challenging than I had imagined but in a good way - I learned so much! I even signed on for the Business English and Young Learners courses.
