Free ESL Classes
WELCOME TO CHICAGO! International TEFL Academy is offering free English language classes for all adults ages 18 and over, levels, and backgrounds that will be taught by our TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) students who are training to become ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers in our Chicago TEFL class.
ESL students will learn in small groups or will be tutored individually depending on level and availability. ESL students can expect to learn and practice skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and other fun activities in English. This is also a great way to meet new friends!
Classes are held at International TEFL Academy's headquarters in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago: 916 W. Diversey Parkway, Chicago, IL 60614
ESL Class Information:
*Please note that International TEFL Academy is not able to sponsor visas or provide any visa paperwork for ESL students. You must already be in Chicago or coming to Chicago on your own to attend our classes. International TEFL Academy also requires all ESL students to be adults ages 18 and over.
Students are able to create their OWN schedules. Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. ESL Students can attend class every day or choose between 1,2 or 3 days.
There are breaks from class between sessions or for holidays. Please check the ESL Calendar for the most up to date schedule.
International TEFL Academy asks for a minimum of a ONE month commitment from ESL students. Students who are not able to attend class for at least one month may not enroll.
Times and Classes Available:

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm : Beginner Class
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm : Intermediate Class
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm : Advanced Classes

We are currently accepting students on our wait list as our classes are currently full. Please follow the directions below to be placed on the wait list.
How to enroll:
1. Please download and fill out the ESL Application Form. Be sure to fill out EVERY section correctly.
2. Email the ESL Application Form to StudentAffairs@InternationalTEFLAcademy.com
3. You will receive an email confirmation from Student Affairs when we have space available in the class.
| TEFL classes are held at the International TEFL Academy World Headquarters in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview/Lincoln Park neighborhood. Spread over more than 4,000 square feet, the ITA complex includes brand new classroom facilities, computer work stations, reference library and student lounge. We are five minutes away from Lake Michigan and 15 minutes from downtown Chicago by train or car. |
